Two Button Brass was formed on the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music campus where each of its five members met during their graduate work. TBB came together to form a group that emphasized fostering musical connections that will help form the next generation and reach new audiences unfamiliar with classical music and brass quintet repertoire. In their time together TBB has performed many concerts and recitals for free throughout the Los Angeles area, including local churches and hospitals while being featured performers on the USC campus with the USC choirs, the Trojan Brass Choir and the Music at Rush Hour series.

Two Button Brass embrace each individuals’ diverse backgrounds allowing each member to bring something original to the ensemble creating a blend of sound and influences entirely their own. TBB balance their programs with many popular arrangements alongside traditional brass quintet repertoire creating a concert experience that invites and challenges their audience to hear familiar and new sounds. This blend allows Two Button Brass to present concerts to communities of people who seldom hear the brass quintet, delivering a memorable and enjoyable experience. It is through these creative programs and their quality execution that TBB hopes to bring new audience members to the classical world.
